Coaching vs Therapy
While both coaching and therapy support personal growth and wellbeing, they serve different purposes and take place within different professional frameworks.
Therapy focuses on emotional healing, diagnosis, and the treatment of mental health concerns. It often explores past experiences, trauma, and patterns that may be impacting your current wellbeing. Therapy is a clinical service provided within a licensed mental health setting and follows specific ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
Coaching, on the other hand, is a collaborative, forward-focused process that supports you in creating change, building self-awareness, and cultivating intentional habits to reach your personal goals. Coaching does not involve diagnosing or treating mental health disorders, and it is not a substitute for psychotherapy.
Although Amanda (founder + coach) is a licensed mental health professional, her role within Grounded Wellness Collective is that of an Integrative Wellness + Intentional Living Coach and facilitator. In this space, she draws on her professional background to offer mindful guidance, but she does not provide therapy in 1:1 coaching sessions, group coaching, or workshops. These services are educational, reflective, and growth-oriented in nature.
If at any time therapy or additional clinical support is needed, appropriate referrals will be provided.
